Imprisoned 3 years, forcibly sterilized, and slated for deportation because she came to US without papers… when she was 2 years old

“Pauline Binam has lived in the United States since age 2 and has been detained at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement prison for nearly three years.”

“Last fall, Binam was reportedly subjected to invasive surgery on her reproductive organs, without her knowledge”

That’s two gross injustices against the same woman, and she’s not the only one.

Congress can and should demand answers, transparency, accountability, and that standards be raised and enforced.

The greatest injustices happen in the shadows. We must be vigilant in seeking out injustice.
